Daily hints

Hints before spoilers.

Start with broad nudges, then return to the puzzle when one group clicks.

Hint 1

Look for one group made of familiar objects or places. The easiest set usually has no wordplay.

Hint 2

One set often depends on a word that can appear before all four answers.

Hint 3

If four words feel too obvious, save them. The tricky set may depend on spelling, sound, or hidden patterns.

How to use hints without losing the fun

A good hint should point your attention, not take away the solve. Before opening a hint, pause for thirty seconds and write down what you already know. Are there four words that belong to the same everyday category? Are there three words that share a phrase but one missing partner? Are there two words that look related only because they sit near each other on the grid?

Use the first hint when you have no starting point. It usually identifies the shape of one group, such as objects, places, roles, materials, or things that can follow the same word. Use the second hint only after you have one solved group or one strong theory. The third hint is for when the board is nearly finished and a tricky set depends on sound, spelling, or a less obvious second meaning.

Hints are written to encourage better solving habits. If a hint says to look for a familiar object category, do not immediately submit the first four objects you see. Check whether one object could also be part of a phrase group. This small delay prevents many avoidable mistakes and makes the final reveal feel earned.
